General information on the integration courses

Depending on the placement result, the general integration course consists of 6 modules of 100 x 45 minutes of German lessons each and an orientation course of 100 x 45 minutes. After Module 6, the “German Test for Immigrants A2/B1” (Deutsch Test für Zuwanderer-DTZ) exam is taken and the orientation course is followed by the “Living in Germany” (Leben in Deutschland-LiD) test. If you reach level B1 in the German test (DTZ), you can prove that you have sufficient knowledge of German for your job or for naturalization.

Asylum seekers without recognition can also apply for a certificate of eligibility directly from the BAMF. Attention, restrictions apply here!
